Car of the Month
Collier’s 1995 Mustang GT
I was looking for a clean mid 90s convertible that was unmolested and that was RED. I kept finding red
on tan. I have too tell you I simply hate tan interior. So I was lucky enough to find this very car with grey
cloth. I didn’t think I would like it at first, but when I got some picks sent to me, I fell in love with the color
and fabric. I finally found this 1995 Mustang GT on Craigslist in San Deigo, with an asking price of
$3,900 from the original owner. After getting some pics emailed to me, I flew down and test drove it at the
San Deigo Airport. The owner had replaced the 1995 wheels with wheels off a 2005 Gt Mustang to give it a
better look. She also had all the paperwork along with the original window sticker. This was also the last
year for the 5.0 power plant which was changed over in 1996 to the 4.6. After test driving it, this was the car
I wanted, so we did all the paperwork and I drove the Highway 5 all the way home in about 7 hours. The
interior and exterior of this car look like it only has 20k miles on it even though it really has 107k miles. I
simply love it when you find an owner of a (car for sale) who takes pride in keeping there car looking like
new. With the gas crunch, I am always looking for ways to save on gas with my new V8. With the 5 speed
tranny, fifth gear helps save a little gas I suspect. I can’t keep track on how many Mustangs I have owned
but if I where to take a guess, maybe number 25 or so. Remember, its the journey and the experience when
it comes to buying and driving these cars. Its great to have a Mustang again!
